The art I create is almost entirely from found objects and project and product leftovers, which means some components are on their third or fourth round of up-cycling. Acrylic is my favourite paint medium. It just works well on wood, whether I prime/gesso or just go for it. I also use left over house paint, sometimes salvaged from Hartland Landfill paint drop off, if the project is big enough and what I can find is the right colour. Waste not; want not.
I was recently part of the Mt. Tolmie Artists Tour during the first weekend of May. I had current works, works in progress and some up-cycled furniture on view and for sale. Thanks to all the folks that stopped by for a look! Here's how to find out more about the other folks on the tour: www.mtartists.ca
I am booking shows into the summer. Please contact me if you are representing a venue that would be a good fit for my eclectic mix of work. Stay tuned here for news of upcoming shows.
